This project presented many challenges for CPT with a difficult site requiring extensive rock excavation and a narrow street access requiring materials to be craned onto site during the build.

Working with a client with discerning taste and experience with previous projects, CPT collaborated to create their dream home which was designed to soak in the coastal views and showcase the sandstone excavation.

This spectacular residence contains high end finishes throughout.  The flooring is a mix of marble and American Walnut with underfloor heating through the whole house.  The kitchen is designed as a centre piece of the house, and includes an alfresco kitchen area with outdoor dining as well. The bathrooms contain backlit vanities, marble tiling and flush lighting and extraction systems in the ceiling.  The wine cellar, media room and wet bar have been designed to create the ultimate entertaining experience.

To us, the greatest testimonial is two years after completion, we are still thrilled with the quality and durability of the final product and we still REALLY like the CPT team!   No disputes and nothing but goodwill!

The CPT Interiors and Construction team were a delight to work with through the entire project.  They were thoughtful and thorough.  They worked very well with the architect and the design teams, accommodating and seeking their refinements.  However, Sean’s experience and design sense was apparent, and from time to time,  he would make small suggestions that would lead to a more durable house or a more pleasing design — and all the while, keeping the architect onside, who usually adopted the ideas as his own.

Commercially, Sean is as honest and trustworthy of anyone I have worked with in my life.  A man of his word.  In the three years and two projects, we never once had a commercial disagreement.   His quote was clear and he was very flexible in working with some of our preferred suppliers.  He is the ultimate GC in selecting really good trades (most have worked with him for many years) and if there was ever a shortfall in their workmanship, you wouldn’t know it as he always had our back.

At the end of the day, Sean realizes a successful build is about creating trust and respect with the entire team — client, builder, architect, designer and trades.  This is CPT’s unique talent to bring out the best in everyone and the resulting product shows.

Finally, we are impressed with their responsiveness after project completion.  Either for a minor fixup or a small job — a call is usually returned within an hour and the team is on site within a couple of days (if not sooner). It’s not a surprise, many of their clients have been working with them for many years.
